2018 Selangor Open won by IM Llaneza Vega Marcos

The 45th Selangor Open saw a very closely fought tournament with a total of 87 participants taking part. The tournament leaders saw onstant change every round. In the end 3 players finished tied at 7 points :  IM Llaneza Vega Marcos  IM Pascua Haridas  IM Dimakiling Oliver However the spaniard IM Llaneza Vega Marcos had the better tie break and emerged as champion. He takes home RM 6000 cash prize. IM Pascua Haridas , the tournament first seed had to settle for 2nd place taking the prize money of RM 4,000.
